Ashraya Kendra started at Kozhikode

Kozhikode: The Kozhikode District Ashraya Kendra of the National Seva Bharathi has officially started its operations. The function was inaugurated by the President of Kozhikode Malabar Medical College, Mr. Anil Kumar at the function held at Chalappuram Kesari Bhavan. The function was presided over by the State Executive Member of the National Seva Bharathi, Mr. Shaja Kumar, who delivered the introductory speech. The function was presided over by the District President of the National Seva Bharathi, Dr. Venugopal. The Vice President of the National Seva Bharathi, Mr. Sulochana, released a brochure describing the activities of the National Seva Bharathi.

\"Land donated to the land donation project of the National Seva Bharathi, which ensures land and housing for the backward classes in the society.\" Unnikulam native Mrs. Subhadramma Poonthorakkandi and Makkada native Mr. Madhusudhanan donated land for the National Seva Bharathi.

With the slogan \"Wayanadinoru Kaithangu\", the amount collected by the students, teachers and committee members of Bharatiya Vidyaniketan for the victims of the Wayanad landslide was received by the National Seva Bharathi State President Dr. Vijayahari from Bharatiya Vidyaniketan State President Shri Gopalankutty Master at the function.

A visual brochure detailing the history and activities of Seva Bharathi in Kozhikode district was displayed on the stage. Malabar Medical College Principal Dr. P.V. Narayanan and Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences Professor C. Sreekumar offered their greetings on the occasion.

National Seva Bharathi Kozhikode District General Secretary Shri Mohanan said, \"The objective of the District Ashraya Kendra is to provide shelter to those suffering in the society, carry out necessary activities to lift them up, coordinate the activities of the 85 units in the district and provide necessary training to the Seva workers to work in a better way.\" 469 people including Seva Bharathi workers attended the function. National Seva Bharathi Kozhikode District Treasurer Smt. Anju Devi delivered the vote of thanks and District Secretary Smt. Amrita recited the Shanti Mantra.
